Marked 'J. BOYNTON'. Measures 21 inches tall. This rare jar was made and stamped by "J. Boynton." This is the mark of Jonah Boynton who ran a pottery in Albany, New York from 1816-1818. Jar has had stone pops and some surface flaking professionally restored. In excellent condition with minor surface roughness, due in part to age. Certainly, a scarce remaining example.
