Corner furniture of great beauty, the workshop of the ébéniste Pietro Piffetti ,Turin 1701-1777.The cabinet shows a Chinese scene on the door in an inner field with a lambrequin at the top. A monk kneels in front of a high-ranking person (priest?) and puts down a basket of flowers. A kettle stands on a tripod, from which clouds of steam rise. A servant holds a parasol over the standing priest. The scene is framed by branches with blossoms and on the outside of the cabinet by tendrils. The drawers of the dresser also show chinoiseries with figures in a landscape with trees and buildings. 187,5 x 79,5 x 53 cm.
