This artwork belongs to the cycle of etchings inspired by both Baroque art and Classic mythology. The artist developed this theme in the series of still lives in 1996-1998. ABOUT ARTIST: Oksana Stratiychuk is an artist and printmaker based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Born in 1968, she graduated from The National Academy of Arts and Architecture in 1992 with a master degree in Graphic Arts. Member of The National Artists Union of Ukraine since 1992. The artist took part in numerous national and international collective exhibition, and had over 25 solo shows in national museums and private galleries in Ukraine and abroad. Artworks are in the collections of The National Museum of History of Ukraine, The National Museum of Folk and Applied Arts, The National Museum Kyiv Picture Gallery, Odessa State Art Museum, Chernivtsi State Art Museum, Khmelnitsky State Art Museum, Dnipro State Art Museum, Tama Art Museum (Tokyo, Japan), Pinacoteque of Torre Canavese (Italy), Exhibition House (Cesis, Latvia), and in private collections.
