This sculpture captures the wild dignity of the wolf. The base of the sculpture in its abstract sense resembles that of a winding tree trunk that blooms into a bust of a wolf head that stares out of its power with somewhat pensive eyes. Wolves are probably one of the most misunderstood of wild animals. Tales of cold cunning abound, in spite of their friendly, social, and intelligent traits. They are truly free spirits even though their packs are highly organized. The wolf has multiple meanings, they stand for loyalty, success, perseverance, stability, thought, pathfinder, teacher, intuition, learning, and the shadow. This bronze sculpture was cast using the ancient method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish and is mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 14 X Width 8 inches.
