苏州文物商店旧藏白玉质，圆雕玉兔，小巧精致。玉兔呈趴伏状，长长的双耳贴伏于颈背部。整体形象温顺可爱，雕琢写实，很好地刻画出玉兔的形态，准确而生动。此玉兔造型做工具有宋代肖生玉风格。圆雕玉兔始于秦汉，而盛于唐宋。 兔在中国传统文化中是吉祥的动物，象征祥瑞。《瑞应图记》称：“赤兔者，瑞兽，王者盛德则至”。民间也视其为富贵吉祥之象征，晋傅玄《拟天问》记载：“月中何有，白兔捣药”。
