香港他山雅集旧藏灰白玉质，局部有褐色及水银沁，玉勒呈扁平状，方形，两侧有出廓卷云纹，镂雕而成。双面满饰谷纹，颗粒饱满。玉勒具有战国风格。玉勒两头中间打凹，并有中贯孔，应该是穿带的配件。 勒子，又称蜡子，渊源甚早，春秋战国以迄汉代尤其盛行，有圆柱形、扁圆柱形、方柱形、纺锤形，束腰形等，是挂于胸前或腰间的玉饰，或认为其为玉琮演化为而来。早期的勒子，纹饰一般以素面为主，后出现各种纹饰，常见的有兽面纹、线形纹、谷纹、文字纹等。此扁勒形制少见，两侧出廓的做法在早期玉勒中并不多见。
