Manner of Diego Velasquez Study of a hound oil on canvas 24 x 31cm Condition report: The canvas has been lined, some surface dirt and superficial abrasions and some craquelure. The surface is covered with a thick layer of varnish, however, there are some small isolated flecks of retouching apparent in places throughout the composition. These are probably the result of some flaking in the past. The painting is now in a stable condition and with the exception of the slight scratches in the varnish, it is ready to hang.
