A TIBETAN BRONZE FIGURE OF YAMANTAKA Tibet, 20th century. The bronze figure of Yamantaka depicted in alidhasana position standing on humans atop a lotus base with thirty - four arms, portrayed with a fierce buffalo head with six human faces around the back, surmounted by two heads. The sealed off base, showing the double dorje symbol. Yamantaka with its wrathful appearance is known as the "destroyer of the death" or the "conqueror of the god of death." Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of age and wear. Provenance: German private collection. Weight: 858 g Dimensions: Height 18 cm
