AN UNUSUAL AND LARGE 'NINE PEACHES' CLOISONNE BOX China, late Qing to Republic period (1880-1930). Very fine and outsized lidded box in the shape of a peach. Enameled at the exterior with colorful bats and blossoming peach branches bearing succulent peach fruits. Golden wire geometric designs. Inside decorated with colorful bats amongst clouds on a glaucous blue sky. Condition: Very good condition with expected wear, few tiny chips to the surface. Provenance: Hungarian private collection.
