A PAIR OF CLOISONNE DEER CANDLE HOLDERS China, Republic Period (1912 - 1949). The two cloisonne deer candle holders with gilt bronze bodies, enameled in classic blue, raised on reticulated stands with lotus and flower decorations. The deer with finely enameled patters and gilt bronze horns, ears and hooves. The animals holding the candlesticks in their mouths, cast as a figural object depicting lotus flowers. Condition: Very good condition with few small chips to the enamel. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Weight: 4198 g in total Dimensions: Height 44.8 cm
