A FINE JADEITE CENSER AND COVER WITH DRAGONS China, 20th century. The censer and cover show impressive relief carving, the thick walls with a dragon motif on one side and a four-character inscription on the other reading 'Er Long Xi Zhu' (Two dragons playing with the pearl), flanked by reticulated dragon handles. The accentuated foot featuring three linghzi masks with suspended ring handles and showing a stylized Ruyi bordure. The domed cover features a repetition of the dragon and linghzi symbol motif and six additional suspended rings, crowned by a large, winding dragon. On an openwork boxwood pedestal. Condition: Very good condition with only minimal signs of age-related wear; the pedestal likewise. Provenance: Austrian Private collection.
