A WHITE AGATE 'ELEPHANT AND A MAN' TALISMAN Himalayan region, 19th-20th century. Large talisman with simplistic depiction of a flattened elephant on short legs. Human - shaped head crowns the frontlet, the saddle is carved on the back of the animal. Stone with nice milky inclusions. Condition: Some bigger losses to the stone surface, one side is partly reglued, one elephant tusk is fractured. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum.
