A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN DISH China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). The deep dish slightly lobed, like the pointed end of a lotus bud, the rim decorated in underglaze blue with many emblems and scrolling vines, the central depiction with a hunting scene. The backside with stems and an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark within a double circle. Condition: With fritting to rim and a hairline to underside. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.
