Each of squared form, the sides finely painted in underglaze blue with stiff leaves filled with geometric and scrolling designs and framed by scrolling vine borders, the shoulder and neck with scrolling vines and stiff leaves as well. Condition: Overall good condition with old wear and firing irregularities, some fritting and small chips to edges, the mouth of each vase with kintsugi repairs. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. Old collector's number 'N: 413.' to base. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.
