A LIDDED VESSEL WITH BLOSSOMS AND BIRDS China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Porcelain with enamel paint. Spherical form on a flush foot, no neck. On one side are two large, red chrysanthemums; two very lively painted, red-brown birds sit on the protruding stem of a leaf, their beaks open, their eyes large and dark. On the other side of the vessel is an inscription written in black with a small red seal at the end. The slightly vaulted lid features blossoms and butterflies as well as a pointed, bud-shaped knob. Condition: Very good condition. Provenance: Collection of Herbert Keuper, Germany. Dimensions: Height 23.9 cm, Diameter 25 cm
