AN EMBROIDERED CHINESE SILK TABLE FRONTAL - QING DYNASTY China, Qing dynasty. Silk with silk threads, linen to back. On the red background silk is a neat embroidery held in green and white hues. Depicted are two peacocks on a branch, peonies and other flowers. The upper cover shows smaller birds and decorative floral borders round off the design. The backside is lined with flower-patterned linen. Condition: Good condition with usual traces of age and wear such as slight staining. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Dimensions: 97 x 91 cm
