A FINE NECKLACE WITH 35 EARLY PYU BRONZE BEADS AND TWO CLASSICAL MEHRGARH NECKLACES The gold elements from the early Pyu city-states, c. 2nd century. The first necklace consisting of 35 Pyu bronze bell-shaped elements, as well as antique Burmese handmade blue glass beads, tribal red beads, and a modern silver clasp. Each of the two Mehrgarh necklaces have 3 flat steatite beads decorated with simple curved ornaments and dated to Neolithic times (c. 5500-4500 BC), on a thin chain of brown miniature terracotta beads from Thailand and tribal glass beads in vivid green and red colours. Very delicate in their form. All three necklaces with modern silver clasps and a modern velvet pouch. Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of age and wear, the bronze beads with a fine malachite-green patina. Some steatite beads with fine brownish patina. Provenance: Private collection of a German collector living in Southeast Asia. Weight: 9.4 g - 17.3 g Dimensions: Length 52 cm (Pyu), Length 40 and 39 cm (two Mehrgarh necklaces)
