A Chinese Blue and White Bottle Vase Of bottle form, the rounded body supported on a short straight foot, the wide shoulder rising to a tall slender neck with gently everted rim, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the body expressively painted with a design of bamboo and chrysanthemum issuing from stylised rockwork, with small butterflies in flight, a sun rising above clouds to the reverse, the shoulder with a band of scrollwork, the neck with bamboo, flowering plants and small flying insects, the sun shines above a band of scrollwork at shoulder, the base glazed.
