A George III mahogany serpentine commode, c.1770, with canted fluted and reeded angles, cast brass handles, on shaped bracket feet, 131cm wide 53cm deep 91.5cm high Condition report: Missing bottom left handle is present in its drawer. Faded to top and facade. Some splits and fissures to top. Patch repair to front right corner. Splits to moulded edge. Thin splits to both sides. Loss and repair to cockbeading throughout. All interior drawers split. Base moulding and feet split, with some evidence of possible repair. Overall in need of a little attention, but generally of nice quality and good proportions.
