The large Longshan Culture jade carved in the shape of a sharp spear tip, complete with edge, blade, and mounting body, incised with simple patterns at the base, the jade is of brownish-celadon color tone with russet and patina.|Longshan Culture period.||Length: 17 1/2 in (44.5 cm) Width: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm)|龍山文化 玉戈|以玉為兵的創始不得而知，但從現有資料分析，玉器在上古時期作為聯通天人的重要禮器出現，往往表達的是君權神受的意味，而兵器的意味則是製裁人間，故而三皇五帝之後，神權逐漸退出人世之時，便出現了玉質兵器，蘊含了君王受命于天，施政于人的意義，因而上古玉器所蘊含的威嚴與氣質，是後世玉器所不能比擬的。此龍山大玉戈成淺赭色，稍彎曲，尖形鋒，雙面刃，交接處刻一圈菱格紋，其上鑽有兩孔，製作精良。
