Powerful Thai bronze Sukhothai Walking Buddha Amulet. In modern case. Amulet(including frame) is 3.35 inches tall. Vast majority of this type you see are 19/20thC, but this piece looks to be a true period piece, with a classic early Sukhothai face. Strong burial patina. The writing/dating on the back is from the previous collector, who used the Buddhist calendar (this year is the year 2557, so by the Buddhist calendar the 20thC would have been approx. 600 years ago).
