Finely cast, sculpted, and finished early bronze Korean Buddha. The lotus petals, arm style, head and face shape, robes style, etc., speak to this being an early finely cast 13-15thC Buddha with an exquisite face. It is much rarer than if it were Chinese. I am not an expert in dating bronzes from the early Korean periods, This piece measures 5.5" tall and 7.25" on its custom base. Very special face. From my personal collection, a Buddha that radiates with joy and light and that almost seems alive.
