A Victorian seven stone opal and diamond carved head style ring, with a circular cabochon opal at the centre, a pair of old European cut diamonds at each side with a circular cabochon opal at each end. All claw set to a two row underbezel, with carved shoulders to a plain shank. Tested as approximately 18ct gold. A case by Hancocks & Co. Jewellers and Silversmiths to the Queen, 38 and 39 Bruton Street, Bond Street. Head 22.00 x 7.70mm, 4.07g. Finger size S LE Condition report: Movement to the centre stone in the setting. The claws are all present. Minor wear to the opals. Light marks to the mount. Has been sized up considerably.
