Chinese Antique Painting Qi Baishi. Size based on the frame: H: 37 in/94 cm W: 19.5 in/49.5 cm The Painting itself: H: 34 in/86.5 cm W: 12 inch/30 cm. The frame is very strong and seems does not fit the painting perfectly, obviously, the purpose was to protect the painting. On the back of the frame, the collector used the newspaper The Vancouver SUN: dated Wed. Dec. 15, 1943, which shows that the previous owner of the painting owned the painting in or before 1943. The previous owner cut his own name from the attached note but kept the sender's name on the note, all are removable.
