青銅豆是古代盛肉醬、調味品或黍稷之類的盛食器。它在青銅禮器中的重要性可在“禮”字中體現。“禮”字構造是由表示祭祀的“礻”旁再加一個“豊”即豐字構成。豆中放置禾苗或美玉構成的“豐”字體現了祭器青銅豆在祈求豐收祭祀過程中所起的作用。蟠虺（pán huǐ）紋豆是青銅豆中少見的精品，尤其註重耳部裝飾，浮雕感甚強。蓋面飾蟠虺紋，上腹部也飾蟠虺紋，短細柄，兩側侈張成盤形圈足，上以圓點紋鋪地，飾長體蛇紋。
