Saks Fifth Avenue 1920's English Leather Lady'sTravelling Cosmetic Case with cut glass bottles, funnel, brushes, powder boxes, most with tops in yellow guilloche enamel over silver plate, leather stamped in gold "Saks Fifth Avenue / Made in England, the gilt closures stamped "Segure & Lever" the case stamped in gold C. G. B. (see NOTE). Height of case 6 1/2 inches (16.5 cm.) X width 20 inches (50.8 cm.) X depth 15 1/4 inches (38.5 cm.). NOTE: This was originally a gift from the Management of Saks to an employee presumably working at "The New Saks 34th Street. circa 1920's making a Socially Prominent Marriage: Miss Caroline Ghidoni to an important Conductor with the Metropolitan Opera, Giuseppe Bamboschek who worked with celebrities from Enrico Caruso to Jeanette Mac Donald. With an old 1970's Lubin Auction Label from when they were located on East 13th Street.
