Pocket watch: early large English pocket watch, ca. 1700, Marc Thomeguay (possibly variation of Thomacque) London: Ca. Ø62mm, ca. 172g, silver pair case, outer case covered with ray skin, nail decoration, plain inner case, signed, very early English verge movement, possibly before 1700, signed champlevé dial, hands, glass and chain missing, otherwise in excellent and very rare condition. The signature Thomeguay is probably a deliberate falsification of the actual name Thomacque, recorded in London from ca. 1675. Exceptionally rare watch in this size of 62mm.
