Ø60mm, ca. 193g, silver case with London Hallmarks from 1850, signed and numbered detent chronometer movement of excellent quality with Arnold's chronometer escapement, Z balance and diamond endstone, signed and numbered plate, signed original enamel dial, matching number, gold hands, in very good condition, in working order. Provenance: Phillips London 1990. The watch is mentioned and described in its present condition and listed by Hans Staeger '100 Jahre Präzisionsuhren von John Arnold bis Arnold & Frodsham'. According to this, the movement was made around 1801 and was encased in the present case in 1859.
