Pocket watch: impressive large Danzig pocket watch with enamel plaques, probably Les Frères Huaud, Benjamin Zoll Danzig, ca. 1690: Ca. Ø61.5mm, ca. 156g, pair case, silver, inner case with glazed movement, dial and movement decorated with enamel plaques, very fine painting, probably work by Les Frères Huaud, very early fire-gilt verge movement, signed, exceptional pillars, magnificent silver champlevé dial, gilt hands, intact, inner case with restoration to the glass mounting, overall in very beautiful condition, highly interesting museum piece. Benjamin Zoll was recorded in Gdansk in the 2nd half of the 17th century and made pocket watches and table clocks. He also signed some of his watches with 'Zell'. One of his table clocks is in the collection of the Hermitage (Saint Petersburg).
