拍品瓶身呈菱形，转角处出戟，四面开光内凸饰八卦纹，通体施炉钧釉，釉面蓝紫交融，斑驳瑰丽。瓷器烧造以方器难度最大，极易变形，菱形者犹有过之，拍品器形周正，较为难得。另见有清晚期烧造的类似八卦纹瓶，瓶身加饰太极图，与拍品相差甚远。
