Abu Simbel / Nubien Framed under glas This watercolour is thought to have been painted in 1896, the year in which Friedrich Perlberg travelled to Egypt, Nubia, and Sudan. Two years later he was among the retinue which accompanied Emperor Wilhelm II to the Holy Land, where he also carried out numerous watercolours.
