A very decorative pair of Victorian silver covered bowls by Robert Harper, London, 1868 Additionally with later French control mark, the stands with openwork sides and four acanthus leaf straps terminating in ram heads, the lower body of fluted sunburst form on fluted pedestal foot, silver detachable liners, covers chased with band of chevrons and stylised torcheres, centre chased with large flower-head with rosette between each petal and capped by a finial in the form of a bust of Minerva, 18cm high, 18.5cm. diameter, 57.5oz (1776gm).
