瓶撇口，细颈，圆腹下垂，圈足。通体施黑釉，肩部及腹部用剔花工艺，分为两层装饰，以双线玄纹分割。肩部饰卷草纹，腹部饰缠枝花卉纹，叶纹剔划细密，极富层次感。此瓶造型庄重，纹饰素雅，构图饱满，层次分明，为黑釉剔花瓷中难得精品。此玉壶春瓶采用难度极高的白地黑釉剔花技法，即在胎体上先涂白色化妆土，再涂黑色化妆土，施两层化妆土后再以刀在器身表面小心剔除花纹周围的黑色化妆土，产生白地黑化的效果，最后在施一层透明釉。此技法多出现于十一至十二世纪的磁州窑上，并在之后对邻近的瓷窑造成了广泛的影响。
