题识：鼎堂先生学考八荒，而以余事探金石龟甲之学，频发高论，所见在三千年前，非时人可以梦见。矩作叠出，其将传之永久无疑也。此非雪堂诸前辈所可企及者，因集契文为小联略抒（景仰）。是所谓昇于班门者也。用求先生大教。称以偁代修，失形以金文。张丹斧时同客海上。钤印：张、丹斧 释文：修身以无得夫古今丞赓五千岁月德厚品高丙祖老，□□好友惟图上下□□八面晳□□家徒美启人师。注：上款人鼎堂为郭沫若。张丹斧（1868-1937），江苏仪征人，近代文学家、报人、收藏家、书画家。为鸳鸯蝴蝶派重要成员，与李涵秋、贡少芹齐名，为『扬州三杰』之一。
