钤印：西凤 此笔筒以黄花梨为材，上刻喜鹊立于梅花枝头，寓意“喜上眉梢”。另配七绝一首：“路人寒梅江树斜，十分浓雪一分花。野人能奈三更冷，明月空山问酒家”。雍正岁次乙巳小春月老桐。该笔筒品相极佳，图案刻工流畅自然，通体包浆莹润，皮壳褐熟，显然系数百年经传之宝，当为老桐经典之作。 简介：潘西凤（1736－1795），清乾隆年间人，号老桐，字桐冈，别署天姥山樵，浙江新昌人，侨居扬州。清代康乾时期竹刻大家，工书法，精刻竹。与郑板桥友情颇深，称其为濮仲谦之后金陵竹刻第一人，亦治印，有古风，刀法圆润浑厚，名重于世。
