清代在造办处制作的砚台，一般被称为“宫作砚”。“宫作砚”中最具代表性和影响力的品类即为松花砚。此松花砚石质地细腻温润，坚实致密，纹理呈刷丝状。色泽主要有浅绿，设计风格独特，以甘瓜为形，雕工十分精湛，细腻，背面刻有：以静为用，是以永年。八字隶书。刻印为“雍正年制”，配以黄杨木瓜形盒，包浆浑厚，应为原盒。
