款识：山间欣有古人迹，坐次犹怀长老风。昌惟禅兄上人印可，丙申（1956年）嘉平月，邗上惕元。 |释惕元，扬州大明寺僧，弱冠悟道，遁入空门，中年云游海内名刹，参谒诸大禅师，得心地法门。节操高迈，佛学精深，兼之诗、书、画三绝，故尔声名早已远播东洋，被日本举国尊为日本的文化之父，所以，日本友人常向他索字、索诗、索画。其画犹以泼笔墨竹为最。
