清早期 櫸木禪凳一對 Chinese. each with the top of standard mitre, mortise and tenon construction enclosing a cane surface, with moulded sides above a narrow waist continuing to a 'ruyi' decorated apron, raised on four straight legs. Qing Dynasty period. “坐禪”是佛教修持的主要途徑，閉目端坐，凝神靜修，佛經曰“坐禪思維，莫有懈怠”。大型的方凳又稱“禪凳”，謂其座面尺寸之大可雙腿盤坐修行，或為佛教活動而定制。此對禪凳櫸木製成，色澤亮麗，包漿溫潤。呈正方形，凳面軟屜，四面平結構，帶束腰，用材和做工皆考究。整器形制凝練，風格簡約，線條流暢，造型嚴謹，成對保存完好。
