1940s Art Deco Odeonesque rose gold diamond and synthetic rubybination clip/bangle, the detachable dress clip with undulating rose gold scroll with calibre cut rubies (possibly synthetic) and pavé set single cut diamonds. Signed with maker's monogram and stamped 14k. Clip measures approximately 33mm x 38mm. This bangle belonged to Miss Miriam (Mimi) Jordon 1904-1987 who was a British actress who enjoyed a career in Hollywood as a leading lady during the early 1930s. Her best known films are Sherlock Holmes (1932) and I Loved You Wednesday (1933). Apanied by a black and white photograph of Mimi Jordan.Condition report: The bangle belongs to a descendant of the original owner, Mimi Jordan. Very good conditionmensurate with age. The spring clip still works well/snaps shut tightly. The rubies have not been tested for natural origin and presumed to be synthetic, one ruby is chipped. The diamonds are all lively well matched stones and good colour and clarity. Good quality well made piece. Gross weight approximately 55.8 grams.
