The chair, which is not stamped, follows a model already developed by the more famous cousin of Henri Jacob, Georges Jacob, during the reign of Louis XVI and realized for example for the Petit Trianon of Marie-Antoinette in 1787. It is characterised by sculpted columns with carved finials on either side of the backrest .
