Oil on canvas in a gold tone wooden frame, signed on the lower right “Raphael Soyer.” There is a tag on the back from Forum Gallery, 1018 Madison Avenue at 79th Street, NE York, N.Y. 10021 that lists the title as “The Tailor” and the date “c.1949.” There is also a tag from Whitney Museum of American Art, 945 Madison Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10021 that lists the Catalogue Number “61,” the Lender “Mr. & Mrs. S. Foster,” and the Exhibition “Raphael Soyer Exhibition October 25-December 3,1967.” There is an additional tag on the back from Forum Gallery that reads “Raphael Soyer: Finding America January 28-March 5, 2005.” There is another tag on the back that reads “Raphael Soyer Russia 1899-1987 New York The Tailor, 1949Oil on canvas, 30 x 30 Lent by Abby and Alan D.
