An Alloy Copper Figure Of Amitayus Buddha With Inscriptions. Marvelously cast, seated in vajraparyankasana with both hands holding a ritual item. Surrounded by several other seated and standing miniature figures, the middle figure meditates with a peaceful countenance on a double-lotus base, its body adorned with jewelry and ornaments. The larger base is incised with mythical beasts and a buddhist wheel. Overhead a circular, lotus lobe-rimmed aureola. Behind back a holy, magnificent screen. 16th Century. Size: 26cmx15cmx39cm
