由好古仰慕而摹古抒怀是乾隆皇帝一贯秉持的艺术精神，乾隆早期御窑厂承前朝之余绪，摹仿历代名窑技术高超，仿定釉瓷器入居彼时摹古之品类。乾隆皇帝秉承胤禛对摹造宋器的理念，既忠于原物，亦善于化裁，从而展示出摹古的两重风格。本品即是属于其摹古化裁式之佳作。此件米勒呈半躺式，通体施白釉，器身满部开片，是乾隆时期仿定窑器之精品。
