香炉由盖、身两部分组成。盖部镂空隆起，由云带纹交错相织构成，其上蹲踞一只巨狮作钮，狮子足下踏灵芝类祥瑞之物；巨狮昂首长啸，其身腹内空，为自然排烟之道。炉身仿周代铜鼎形，平口，尖唇，折沿，束颈，两耳甚巨，由两条蜿蜒起伏之三爪龙自然形成，巨龙身躯肥硕，独角叱咤，怒目巡视；炉腹较浅且鼓侈。香炉圜底，下承三只粗壮蹄足，蹄足五爪，锋利异常；足腹相接处为三只巨型独角兽，阔口龇牙，埋首专注，似正吞噬足身。
