蒜头瓶弧形长颈，溜肩，垂腹，圈足，线条柔美起伏，尽见迤逦之姿，胎骨细薄坚致，丽质怡人。通身所施霁红一色，色泽纯美深沉，纯正妍丽，釉层平滑明润，为乾隆霁红水准之典范。清人龚询诗云：“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工。霜天晴昼精心合，一样抟烧百不同。”谓红釉烧造不仅依靠人工，更赖气候天成。
