投壶游戏是从先秦延续至清末的汉民族传统礼仪和宴饮游戏。投壶礼来源于射礼，诸侯大摆宴乐时要请客人射箭。当时，成年男子不会射箭被认为是有失体面的事情，但是有的客人确实不会射箭，于是就用箭矢投进酒壶的方式代替，投壶游戏就这样产生了。 壶六方，方口，两侧铸双贯耳，口部及贯耳饰钱纹锦地，颈分两段，上段饰以菱花锦地，下段饰回纹锦地，肩部分六格，每格饰龟背锦地，腹部出六短戟，每面饰菱花纹及钱纹锦地组合，束腰修长，塔基式圈足。此壶修长停匀，纹饰为一体铸造，锦地层次丰富，规整利落，样式考究，凝重典雅，充分体现了当时的美学典范。
