台湾藏家旧藏 玉冠以白玉制成，呈花朵形。四面各雕双层重叠莲花瓣，内大外小，边沿翻卷凸起，下部口沿椭圆形，中空，内壁打磨匀净。冠两侧底部中央各穿透一圆孔，可供插簪固发。 古代士大夫有用玉冠束发的习俗，玉冠是古代较为流行的小冠类型，因其高、宽都较其它冠形略低略小，故又被称为“小冠”或“矮冠”，这类冠式可单独戴束，如名画《听琴图》中描绘的抚琴者，头上所戴的就是玉发冠。南京博物院、首都博物馆、国家博物馆均有同类玉冠藏品，可相互比较。
