玉人圆雕而成，头部有穿孔，后脑勺处有凸榫，腰部以下有横穿孔，处处显示出早期琢玉特征。整体雕工古拙，风格古朴。玉人呈跪姿，双膝弯曲，脚尖着地，双手抱于腹前。五官刻画简洁形象，圆眼，鼻梁凸起，很容易让人联想到青铜器上的人面纹。 此玉人因是跪姿，业内又俗称“玉跪人”，也有学者认为是跽坐。玉人周身有红沁点缀包裹，自然古雅。
