据《大阿罗汉难提蜜多罗所说法住记》载，“第八尊者（也即伐阇罗佛多尊者）与自眷属千一百阿罗汉。多分住在钵刺拏洲”。另据克什米尔班钦所造《十六罗汉礼供文》，伐阇罗佛多尊者居第五位，住在僧伽罗洲，被一千位阿罗汉围绕，一手结期克印，一手持拂麈。 此件造像，尊者微侧头，面含微笑，披覆右袒法衣，法衣边饰雕刻精细的八吉祥纹样。如文献描绘，伐阇罗佛多右手作期克印，左手于下腹呈握持拂麈，跣足呈散跏趺坐于方形坐垫之上，左脚前伸。尊像以方台须弥座承托，台座暗刻缠枝花卉，台座以如意云头饰为足，足间饰尖角，类似汉地常见的禅椅。造像的表现形式明显吸收了汉地写实性手法，雕刻细腻工整，是西藏地区尊者造像的精品之作。
