Visually compelling high quality 16/17thC Thai Ayuthaya Buddha in deep meditation, while the base beneath him literally splits apart. Currently stable, being held together with leather strips. Sits 13.5 inches tall, 10.5 inches wide, 5.75 inches deep, and quite heavy. A dramatic depiction of impermanence. I've seen 10's (or 100's) of thousands of Buddha images, but have never seen another bronze one split like this.
